– More than 3.200 visitors on the first day of the Valencia Boat Show, 60% more than on the opening day of 2016.
– The show has increased the number of boats exhibited by 25% and has added 4,000 m2 of indoor exhibition space in Tinglado nº2.
The Valencia Boat Show, which is running through to the 5th of November in Valencia Marina, opened its doors to the public this morning. The inaugural day has left a very good impression amongst the exhibitors and a very positive balance in terms of visitors, with a count of 3.200 an hour before the end of the day.
The official opening of the show took place at 11am in true nautical fashion, with a horn sounding from one of the exhibition pontoons to mark the beginning of this 2017 edition, which has more exhibition space, more exhibitors and more boats. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the director of the event, Fernando Jiménez; the general director of Consorcio Valencia 2007, Vicent Llorens; the head of Tourism Management of the Provincial Council of Valencia, Evarist Caselles; the deputy director of Tourism Valencia, Joan-Carles Cambrils; the consul of Lithuania in Valencia, Dainius Sriubsa; the company sales director and manager for the installation of Audi Sedaví, Santiago Francés; and the directors of the BAUHAUS centres of Paterna and Alfafar, Manuel López and Moisés Gómez-Hidalgo.
The Valencia Boat Show has more than 150 boats exhibited on dry and afloat from the main national and international boatyards, which is 25% more than in the last edition. In addition, exhibited at the event are some of the boats nominated for the prestigious European Yacht of the Year award; boats presented for the first time in Spain such as the Tarsis 29, novelties of the year and some of the most exclusive boats from prestigious firms such as Bavaria, Bénéteau, Hanse, Dufour, Jeanneau, Sunseeker, Azimut, Cranchi and Sealine. There are also motor boats from brands such as Greenline, Nimbus, Quicksilver, Bayliner and Pardo Yachts as well as Bali and Fountaine Pajot catamarans, and a wide variety of engines from brands such as Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Man, Nanni Diésel and Solé Diésel, in addition to accessories and nautical services.
Tourism overland and at sea
For this edition, The Valencia Boat Show also has the support of the tourism offer of the province of Valencia, which is present through the Provincial Tourism Board of Valencia, of the Council of Valencia, special partner of the event that has a stand in Tinglado nº2.
Lovers of the sea and of sea voyages will also have the opportunity to discover the Lithuanian Sea, thanks to an area dedicated to the locality of Klaipéda, third largest city of the country, that is at the boat show to promote itself as a tourist destination and to make its harbour and yacht clubs known. The sea and tourism go hand in hand at the Valencia Boat Show, establishing a link between Valencia and the city of Klaipéda, whose mayor is also present at the Valencia Boat Show this week.
